OptiSlim Program
1 RAPID WEIGHT LOSS
This is the most intensive phase of the program and suitable for those with a BMI greater than 30. Replace all three meals with any product from the VLCD range. Total calories should not exceed 800 calories per day. Please consult a Healthcare Professional before beginning this phase. Replace three meals a day for 3 weeks and a maximum of 12 weeks under medical supervision. 2 cups of mainly green vegetables should be consumed in addition to the Optislim products to contribute to fibre intake. A minimum of 2 litres of water should be consumed to help flush waste from the fat burning process. Please consult with a Healthcare Professional before transitioning to the Steady Weight Loss phase to check if any medication levels need to be reduced due to an improvement of obesity related health conditions after weight loss.

2 STEADY WEIGHT LOSS
The steady weight loss phase is suitable for those who started on the Rapid Weight Loss Phase. It is also suitable for those with a BMI of 25 - 29.9. Two meals are replaced each day and a regular meal and snacks are incorporated. Total calories are between 1000 - 1800 calories per day. Regular meal and snacks should be nutritious and well balanced. Aim for 1-2 snacks per day within 100 calories each. *Your daily calorie allowance will depend on your start weight and gender, please use reference below to determine your calorie allowance.
Female: <100kgs = 1000, 100-150kgs = 1200, >150kgs = 1500
Male: <100kgs = 1200, 100-150kgs = 1500, >150kgs = 1800
This phase can be continued until you reach your goal weight.

3 EASY MAINTENANCE
Congratulations, you have achieved your weight loss goals. Now that you have created healthier eating habits, maintaing your weight is easy by replacing just one meal per day with the rest of your meals and snacks made up from regular foods. The best approach to maintaining a healthy weight is to include a range of nutritious and portion-controlled foods. ^Based on the daily energy intake for the average adult diet of 8700kJ, your energy intake may be higher of lower depending on your age, gender, weight and lifestyle.
